Extreme Rainfall in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Linked to Dual-Typhoon Effect and Orographic Lift

TyphoonSays reports that Wenzhou, Zhejiang has recently experienced extreme rainfall. Meteorological analysis indicates this is closely related to the dual-typhoon effect. Moisture was continuously transported by airflow on the southern side of the subtropical high, while cold air from the north converged with the typhoon's inverted trough over Zhejiang. Combined with orographic lift from the mountainous terrain, these factors significantly amplified the rainfall. According to China News Service, the interaction among multiple weather systems was the main driver of this heavy precipitation.

The combination of dual typhoons and topographic 'buffs' made the rainfall truly intense.
