Analysis of Each Active Typhoon
Super Typhoon "SAUDEL": Currently located over the Northwest Pacific, with a maximum sustained wind speed of 52 m/s near the center. It is moving west-northwest at 21 km/h. It is expected to weaken into a tropical storm by the end of the month and approach the southeastern coast of China. Its later track adjustments require continued attention.
Tropical Storm "NARRA": Located in the northern South China Sea, with a maximum sustained wind speed of 23 m/s near the center. The system is "circling" near the Gulf of Tonkin and moving slowly. It may make landfall along the coasts of Guangdong and Guangxi tomorrow evening. Its prolonged heavy rainfall has made the flood-control situation in Guangxi extremely challenging.
Tropical Depression "GAENARI": After making landfall in Quanzhou, Fujian, at noon today, it is now moving west-northwest at 15 km/h while continuing to weaken. Heavy to torrential rainfall is affecting many parts of Fujian, with exceptionally high accumulated rainfall in some areas.
Tropical Storm "ATSANI": Located over the open ocean, it is moving northward at 18 km/h with relatively weak intensity. It is expected to weaken into a tropical depression tomorrow and currently has no direct impact on China's offshore waters.
