Its prolonged stay in the Gulf of Tonkin brought extreme rainfall to Guangxi. It is expected to move generally northward and weaken into a tropical depression on the 27th, with its effects gradually diminishing.
GAENARI (tropical depression): Its center is located at 24°N, 119.1°E, with a central pressure of 1,000 hPa and maximum sustained winds of 15 m/s. It is moving southwest at 10 km/h and is expected to approach the Fujian-Guangdong coast this afternoon. With relatively weak intensity, it will mainly bring localized, showery rainfall.
