Official forecasts indicate that it will reach the vicinity of 25.2°N, 119.4°E on the afternoon of the 28th, with intensity at the strong typhoon level. Its circulation is currently massive and symmetric, and it cannot be ruled out that it may make landfall along southeastern China's coast.
Tropical Storm “GAENARI”
GAENARI is located at 25.6°N, 121.9°E, with a central pressure of 998 hPa and maximum sustained winds of 18 m/s. It is moving westward at 8 km/h and is expected to weaken into a tropical depression near 25.03°N, 119.8°E on the afternoon of the 24th. Its relatively slow movement will bring a significant period of rainfall to Taiwan, China, Fujian, Zhejiang, and other areas.
