The 19th typhoon, “NARRA,” is at tropical storm intensity and is currently located over the western South China Sea. Under its influence, significant wind and rain are forecast along the coasts of Guangxi, Hainan, and other areas, before it gradually weakens to a tropical depression.
The 20th typhoon, “GAENARI,” is also at tropical storm intensity and is approaching China’s East China coast. It is currently moving west-southwest and is expected to make landfall or pass close to the coast around Zhejiang early tomorrow morning before rapidly weakening into a tropical depression. Although it is relatively weak, its short-duration heavy rainfall and strong winds still warrant close attention.

People in East China are particularly concerned about the strong winds caused by “GAENARI,” as well as disruptions to travel services, including train suspensions.
