It is moving west-northwest at 21 km/h. It is expected to gradually approach the eastern coast of China and could make landfall in Fujian or Zhejiang between August 27 and 28. By the early hours of August 30, its center is forecast to be near 25°N, 111.8°E, where it will weaken to a tropical depression.
Typhoon No. 19, “NARRA”
“NARRA” is currently located at 19.5°N, 108°E, with a central pressure of 990 hPa and maximum sustained winds of 23 m/s, making it a tropical storm. It is moving east-northeast slowly at 6 km/h. Because of its slow movement and lingering over the Beibu Gulf, it is expected to reach approximately 22.8°N, 109.98°E by the morning of August 27 and weaken to a tropical depression. Its prolonged stay has brought sustained wind and rain to coastal areas including Guangxi and Hainan.
