Intensity Evolution Analysis
The typhoon underwent a complete formed-intensified-peak-weakened life cycle. It began as a tropical depression with a pressure of 1002hPa. After intensifying into a tropical storm on May 9, its intensity steadily increased, reaching typhoon status on May 13 (40m/s, 960hPa). It then entered a rapid intensification phase, becoming a super typhoon in just 3 days.
