A key turning point occurred between September 12 and 14. Data show that after the typhoon center reached the 24°–25°N region, its movement gradually shifted from northwest to north-northeast, before turning fully northeast after September 16. This turn was accompanied by rapid eastward movement in longitude, from 121.3°E to 160.2°E, indicating that the system was subsequently pulled by southwesterly flow ahead of a westerly wind-band trough and accelerated into the open ocean. Throughout its lifetime, the typhoon made no landfall and remained at sea.

However, it fell short of the extreme intensity of 900 hPa forecast for Sinlaku in 2026. Overall, this was a long-lived, intense, typical offshore typhoon.
