Typhoon Man_yi, international code 200704, international name MAN-YI, 2007 Northwest Pacific typhoon. Formed: 2007-07-09 02:00:00, ended: 2007-07-16 02:00:00. Peak intensity: Super Typhoon, minimum central pressure: 925 hPa, max wind: 55m/s.
Typhoon Man_yi at 2007-07-09 02:00:00 at 7.4°N, 144.3°E over the Northwest Pacific; initial intensity: Tropical Storm.
It peaked at Super Typhoon intensity with max winds of 55 m/s (~198 km/h) and a minimum central pressure of 925hPa, recorded at 2007-07-12 17:00:00.
2007-07-16 02:00:00 After, Typhoon Man_yi gradually weakened and was numbered off on 2007-07-16 02:00:00 was numbered off; its lifecycle recorded 40 track points.
Typhoon Man_yi (200704) 的生命史始 at Northwest Pacific低The latitude海域, 整体路径呈现典型的“NW行—N折—NE移”抛物线形态. formed初期 (7月9日) , 系统位 at 7.4°N, 144.3°E附近, 受副热带高压S侧引导气流影响, 稳定 toward NW. 至7月12日20:00, 中心抵达23.5°N, 128°E, 此时达到生命史中的最W端Position, 随后路径发生显著转折.
After turning toward, Typhoon gradually toward NE, Go to mid-latitude W wind belt control area. From the coordinate sequence can be seen, during July 13 to 14, the length from 127.4°E rapidly expanded toward E to 132.2°E, the latitude continued to N raise to 32.2°N, showing its acceleration toward NE direction away from land. Thro the process, the Typhoon did not landfall any land, and finally at July 16 at 35.6°N, 144.9°E weakened into Tropical Storm and ended monitoring.
Man_yi underwent rapid enhancement to peak maintenance, then slowly weakening full Intensity change process. In the initial phase, the system within 3 days was rapidly intensified into Super Typhoon by Tropical Storm (18m/s). Especially during the 11th to 12th of July, max wind increased from 40m/s to 55m/s, the central minimum air pressure dropped to 925hPa, and at 12th of July 20:00 to 13th 05:00ined this peak intensity for about 9h.
Compared to previously known Typhoon, Man_yi's Intensity in 2007 at a higher level. Its peak air pressure of 925hPa, wind speed55m/s data, at 2018 Man_yi (955hPa) and 2013 Man_yi (975hPa) , showed a stronger explosive power. However, compared to 2001 Man_yi (922hPa) and 2024 Man_yi (915hPa) , its peak intensity is slight.
