After reaching maturity, the typhoon’s center crossed 18°N at 14:00 on October 11 and turned further toward the NNE. Especially after 14:00 on October 12, as it moved beyond 21.8°N, the system accelerated toward the NE and resumed its eastward expansion, rapidly advancing from 143.5°E to 155.8°E. Throughout this period, the typhoon made no landfall, remained over open waters, and ultimately weakened to typhoon intensity near 33.5°N, 155.8°E at 05:00 on October 14, when observations ended.
