During the early stage, the system moved slowly toward the west-northwest before turning steadily westward. Notably, its center latitude briefly shifted south from 15.3°N to 13.7°N between October 31 and November 1, then rose slightly northward again, reflecting complex changes in the steering flow. It crossed more than 30 degrees of longitude and gradually weakened after entering the western South China Sea, with no landfall recorded throughout. Its track was typical of a far-offshore westward-moving typhoon.
