In the early morning of August 10, after the Zhejiang Taizhou Mountain Landfall, the path took a significant turn. Guided by ground friction and atmospheric rings, the Typhoon passed through ZhejiangGo to Jiangsu, then along the East coastal N. On the evening of August 11, after the second Landfall in Shandong Qingdao, continued toward N deeper inland, eventually at August 13 in the Bay of Bohai to weaken disperse.
Lekima’s Intensity evolution has undergone three stages of “fast enhancement – peak maintenance – landfall weakening”. Starting with the August 4th Tropical Storm (18m/s, 996hPa), the system has exploded in just three days. August 7th night has reached the Severe Typhoon level (48m/s) and upgraded to Super Typhoon on August 8th.
