Intensity evolution and historical comparison
During July 25-28, the system from Tropical Depression gradually intensified into Severe Tropical Storm, Pressure dropped from 1002hPa to 980hPa, max wind increased from 13m/s to 30m/s. On July 28th, at 21h, the system officially upgraded to Typhoon level.
