Coordinate analysis shows that Wutip moved relatively slowly after formation on September 26–27, with its latitude increasing slightly from 14.8°N to 15.4°N and its longitude advancing westward by about 1.1°. After entering the central South China Sea, its track gradually shifted to nearly due west. In particular, on September 29, the typhoon’s center latitude remained around 16.6°N–16.8°N, while its longitude moved rapidly westward from 113.4°E to 111.0°E, indicating strong westward steering flow. It adjusted slightly northward only before landfall, finally making landfall along the coast of Quảng Bình, Vietnam, at 17:45 on September 30.
