2011 No. 6 Typhoon “Ma-on” formed at the Northwest Pacific Ocean, Initial Position at 18.7°N, 155.5°E. In the early days of life, the system mainly presented a stable WNTrend. From July 12 to July 17, 02:00, its latitude slowly increased from 18.7°N to 22.8°N, and its length from 155.5°E to 136.3°E, indicating that the sub-tropical high-pressure S side of the guided flow was strong and stable.
The key turning point of the path appeared after July 17th. As the system N went to the middle latitude region, under the influence of the W-wind belt pre-airflow, the Moving direction changed significantly.
