Typhoon Utor at 2006-12-08 08:00:00 at 10.4°, lng 131.7° over the Northwest Pacific; initial intensity: Tropical Storm.
It peaked at Severe Typhoon intensity with max winds of 45 m/s (~162 km/h) and a minimum central pressure of 950hPa, recorded at 2006-12-12 20:00:00.
2006-12-14 14:00:00 After, Typhoon Utor gradually weakened and was numbered off on 2006-12-14 14:00:00 was numbered off; its lifecycle recorded 51 track points.
Typhoon Utor (200623) 的生命史始 at 2006年12月8日08时, formedPosition位 at lat 10.4°, lng 131.7°的热带洋面. 在初始阶段, 系统呈现稳定的NW toward MovingTrend. 从12月8日至12月10日, 其The latitude由10.4°NN抬至12.2°N, During由131.7°EW进至121.7°E, 显示出较强的 toward W分量.
Utor's Intensity evolution experienced rapid enhancement, peak maintenance and rapid weakening in three stages. The first time was Tropical Storm (18m/s) , then rapidly strengthened within 48h, and by December 10th has reached Typhoon level (40m/s) . On December 12th at 23am, the system reached peak intensity in Sea N, confirmed that Severe Typhoon, the central minimum air pressure dropped to 950hPa°E, max wind to 45m/s. It is worth noting that after the peak, the system did not immediately collapse, but in the high Intensity range (38-40m/s)ined about 30h, until late at night on December 13th, the structure began to weaken significantly.
In comparison with the same name Typhoon, the 2006 Utor's Intensity ranges between the 2001 and 2013 similar Typhoon. 2013's 11th Typhoon Utor has reached the Super Typhoon level, the minimum pressure is lower than 925hPa, the intensity is much higher than this year's 950hPa; and 2001's 4th Typhoon Utor's minimum air pressure is 963hPa, the intensity is slightly weaker at 2006's Utor.
