Intensity evolution and historical comparison
The typhoon’s intensity changed rapidly, following a typical strengthening–fluctuation–rapid intensification–weakening cycle. It began as a tropical depression and intensified into a severe tropical storm within 24 hours. From September 6 to 9, its intensity weakened slightly and remained at the severe tropical storm level.
