The key turning point occurred from October 24 to 25. Before then, the system continued moving northwestward, with its latitude rising rapidly from 12.7°N to 18.4°N. It then gradually shifted from northwestward to due north and eventually toward the northeast. After October 26, the center began moving eastward, with longitude increasing from 116.2°E to 120.5°E, marking the system's completion of the turn and entry into the extratropical transition or dissipation stage. No landfall was recorded throughout its life cycle, as it remained at sea.
Intensity Evolution and Peak Status
The typhoon underwent a complete cycle of intensification, peak intensity, and weakening. At first, its intensity was weak, remaining at tropical depression strength (15m/s). From October 19 to 20, it intensified rapidly, with wind speed surging from 25m/s to 40m/s in less than two days and pressure dropping by 20hPa. At 02:00 on October 21, it reached its lifetime peak, with a minimum central pressure of 940hPa and maximum winds of 50m/s.
