The key turning point occurred around 20:00 on November 29. Its track curvature then changed markedly, with its movement shifting from northwest to northeast. From November 30 to December 3, the typhoon center moved rapidly toward the northeast across the mid- and high-latitude seas, with longitude increasing rapidly from 142.2°E to 174°E and latitude rising from 22.2°N to 39°N. Throughout its lifetime, Yuri did not make landfall on any landmass and remained over the ocean, eventually weakening and dissipating amid cold sea surface temperatures at high latitudes.
