Typhoon Louise Route Analysis

Track Track and Turn toward characteristics

Typhoon Louise (197621)'s life began at 27 October 1976 in the Northwest Pacific low-latitude waters, initial position at 6.8°N, 153.1°E. In the formed early, the systemined NamelessIntensity, and toward WN direction slow Moving. on 31 October, as the system was enhanced to Tropical Storm, its Moving path showed a significant W line trend, until November 2 reached 12.2°N, 134.8°E near.

After November 5, guided by the mid-high-latitude circle, the typhoon track gradually shifted to NE direction. From November 6's 24.6°N, 130.3°E to November 9's 46°N, 175°E before dispersal, the system crossed the vast ocean surface, the overall path showing the characteristics of a typical 'polling line'.

Intensity Evolution and Historical Comparison

Louise's Intensity evolution underwent rapid enhancement, peak maintenance and gradual weakening in three stages. The system was enhanced to Tropical Storm on October 31, and in only two days Time jumped to Super Typhoon (53m/s) on November 2nd. On November 3rd to 4th, its Max Wind reached a peak of 71m/s, andined about 48h under this high Intensity, showing extremely strong core structural stability. From November 5th, with latitude rise and environmental field changes, intensity began to slowly decline, but still remained at Super Typhoon level until November 6th. After the high latitude, the system rapidly weakened, down to Typhoon level on November 7th, and further weakened into Nameless, but at the end of life there was a short Intensity

It peaked at Super Typhoon level (71m/s), significantly high at 1973 (Typhoon), 1970 and 1967 (both Severe Tropical Storm) system of the same name.
